The two warriors faced-off during a presser attended by promoter Leonard Ellerbe and WBA presidential adviser Jose Oliver Gomez.
In competitive undercards, Cuban veteran Yuriorkis Gamboa (29-2, 17 KO's) battles fellow former world champion Roman "Rocky" Martinez (30-3-3, 18 KO's) of Puerto Rico; and skilled southpaw Ladarius Miller (19-1, 6 KO's) squares off former WBA world titlist Jezzrel " Corrales (23-2, 9 KO's) of Panama.
