CEBU CITY ? Mark ?Makmak? Vicelles and Jesse ?Little Giant? Espinas successfully made weight during the official weight today, Friday at the Mangahan Restaurant in Lahug, this city, for their WBA Asia South Light Flyweight Championship slated tomorrow at the Frasco Memorial Gymnasium in Liloan, Cebu.

The undefeated Vicelles (10-0-1, 5KOs) of the Omega Gym who is the Philippine Visayas Professional Boxing Association light flyweight champion, came in at 107.7 lbs and is gunning for his first regional belt and a possible world ranking. Espinas (19-3-0, 11KOs) of the SGG Boxing Stable, previously highly ranked in the world by the world boxing bodies, will try to recover lost ground after his last defeat against Edward Heno on Aug. 11, 2018 for the OPBF light flyweight title. He weighed in at 105.8 lbs.

Mark Vicelles (front, left) and Jesse Espinas (front, right) pose during Friday's weighin.

Vicelles said he "will study Espinas's style in the first few rounds before going for the kill" while his trainer Julius Erving Jungco said Vicelles ?will use his reach and height advantage to control the fight.? Vicelles, standing at 5'5? is three inches taller than Espinas who is 5'2?.

Espinas, in turn, said, ?Good luck to to my opponent Vicelles because I prepared hard for this fight. In my last fight against Heno, I did not really prepare very well.?

Vicelles vs Espinas is scheduled for ten rounds or less.
