PENALOSA WANTS TO INCLUDE FARENAS ON MARCH 2 CARD

Reigning WBO bantamweight king Gerry Penalosa has indicated he wants to include his protege Michael Farenas in the slambang card he is headlining against Ratanachai Sor Vorapin.
Penalosa will be making the first defense of his title against Vorapin since successfully wresting the crown away from Mexican Jhonny Gonzales.
"Yes, I want to include Farenas," Penalosa said today.
The Gubat, Sorsogon-raised Farenas made a successful US debut last year, halting Mexican Arturo Valenzuela in two rounds at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
He followed up that win with a fifth-round knockout over Thailand's Kongsurin Sithsoei last December 26 in Batangas.
