Sinulog Card Slated on January 20!

Just as it does every year, the ALA Boxing Gym will once again bring this year 2008 a Sinulog boxing extravaganza on January 20 at the Gaisano Countrymall carpark.
The event is a way of being part of the yearly mardi gras, where millions of Filipinos flock to Cebu City for the Sinulog, a celebration for the blessed Sto. Nino.
Headlining this year's card is young ALA upstart Joseph Omanz (9-0, 5 KO's) who will go up against tough-as-nails 30-fight veteran Pedro 'Cobrita' Malco.
Omanz is coming off a sensational second-round TKO over Albert Cesa at the Araneta Coliseum last December 2 in a card headlined by the Rey Bautista-Antonio Meza scorcher.
The rest of the Sinulog card pits: Edmund Velayo vs Mark John Yap; Idol Rolito Nengasca vs Ranie Pamatian; Idol runner-up Pedro Salondro against Lemuel Tanugan; Mark Jesson Taroja versus Jun Tasic; and Joel Zaspa versus Fidel Macarayan.
