Castroverde to face Yasuda in non-title bout in Japan on July 1

DAVAO CITY ? Lightweight Jerry Castroverde of the Philippines will fight Katsuya Yasuda of Japan in a non-title bout at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Castroverde (10W-6L-0D, 5KO), who is now residing at Neyagawa, Osaka, Japan lost to Shu Utsuki via an 8th round stoppage last Feb. 26, 2019.
He won on Jhun Ryan Quimbo by a unanimous decision last March 18, 2017 in Cebu.
Castroverde, however, lost to Aphiwe Mboyiya by a UD in a vacant IBF Youth featherweight title last July 26, 2016 in South Africa.
He also lost to Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov by a 4th round in a vacant WBO Inter-Continental Youth super featherweight title last Nov. 18, 2016 in Russia.
Yasuda (3W-0L, 2KO) TKO?d Anshori Anhar Pitulay of Indonesia in the 3rd round last Sept. 11, 2018.
The 27-year old Yasuda also won by majority decision over Ki Soo Lee last Dec. 30, 2017. (Lito delos Reyes)
