MAYWEATHER CANCELS FIGHT WITH NASUKAWA

PhilBoxing.com

Floyd Mayweather has deleted all his social media account Instagram posts refering to the planned fight with Tenshin Nasukawa, alleging that he never agreed to the fight in the first place.

Mayweather previously posted a pic of himself wearing the official Rizin mixed martial arts gloves. He also made an announcement in a press conference confirming the fight, supposedly on December 31, and said he would give "the people something they've never seen before."

But recently he claimed that he was "blind-sided" and deceived, and has deleted any posts related to the Rizin 14 fight.

Rizin 14 was suppose to take place at the Saitama Super Arena, in Saitama, Japan. The event was intended to be headlined by the mixed rules contest between Floyd Mayweather vs. Tenshin Nasukawa. The Rizin Fighting Federation is a Japanese mixed martial arts company.

Before the fight cancellation, Nasukawa wrote on Twitter: ?Hello, Mr. McGregor. My name is Tenshin Nasukawa. I am not Jackie Chan. I promise to avenge your loss, so please watch my fight.?

Nasukawa is a 20-year old Japanese kickboxer from Tokyo, Japan. He is the current RISE kickboxing featherweight world champion, the former RISE bantamweight champion and the 2017 Rizin kickboxing flyweight tournament champion. He is ranked the No. 8 bantamweight in the world by Combat Press.

Nasukawa won knockout victories over former IBF boxing world champion Amnat Ruenroeng and Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai champion Wanchalong PK Senchaigym. The win over Wanchalong was chosen as the 2016 Knockout of the Year by Combat Press.

Nasukawa wants to compete in both kickboxing and boxing. However, the Japan Boxing Commission does not grant permit to Japanese professional boxers to fight in other professional combat sports. In September 2018, Nasukawa told AbemaTV, that he wants to join boxing in other countries but will remain as a kickboxer in Japan.

Three-division boxing world champion Naoya Inoue's trainer and promoter, former two-time boxing world champion Hideyuki Ohashi said "Nasukawa can win boxing world title till his 2nd professional match, break world record of Vasyl Lomachenko and Saensak Muangsurin's 3rd professional match."

Ohashi said he is interested in planning a Naoya Inoue vs.Tenshin Nasukawa fight in Tokyo Dome. Nasukawa is undefeated at 27-0 as a professional kickboxer, with 21 of his wins by knockout.
