MEXICANS HIT TOWN! AMY HAYES PLANES IN TONIGHT
By Salven L. Lagumbay PhilBoxing.com Tue, 27 Nov 2007
The two Mexican warriors seeing action on December 2 have arrived this morning, said Third Force Promotions' Noli Eala.
The world's sexiest lady announcer Amy Hayes, meanwhile, will arrive tonight.
Antonio "Barrio" Meza and Jovanny "Bambino" Soto, both from Mexico, came this morning with their trainers, while Kentucky's Amy Hayes will be accompanied by his father Morris when she sets foot in the country.
"They are in good shape," said Eala, referring to the two Hispanic warriors while guesting at the weekly PSA Forum in Manila.
?I cannot fail? I am going to bring to the Philippines all the arsenal that I have? I know that it will be a difficult fight and that I should look for a knockout," Meza told Boxnoticias while training for the fight.
The Mexicali-based Meza is set to challenge WBO Intercontinental superbantam king Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista in a 12-round scrap headlining the card, which is set to fire off starting 9AM on Sunday.
ABC-5 will air the fights 'live' from the Big Dome.
The 23-year-old Soto, who hails from Guasave, Sinaloa, will challenge unbeaten Filipino prospect AJ "Bazooka" Banal for the latter's WBO Asia Pacific Youth superflyweight title.
Earlier, Eala had announced that as an added bonus for those who will watch the fight at the fight venue, the IBF and IBO flyweight title defense of champion Nonito Donaire against Luis Maldonado will also be shown on big screens inside the historic arena. So for the price of one, fans will get to watch two events inside one venue, said Eala who forms part of Third Force Promotions.
Aside from the presence of the world's sexiest ring announcer Amy Hayes, fans will also be treated to the sight of the lovely Kitty Girls and Ms. Vina Morales, who will sing the Philippine national anthem.
Also slated to see action in the card is Milan Milendo, who will defend his WBO Asia Pacific minimumweight crown against Jack Amisa.
RP champs Michael Domingo and Rocky Fuentes are also on the card, as they battle it out against Tanzania's Anthony Mathias and Richie Mepranum.
