LEMIEUX STOPS O'SULLIVAN IN ONE

Former IBF world middleweight champion David Lemieux of Canada showcased his awesome power when he stopped Irish Gary O'Sullivan with a wicked left cross to the jaw in the very first round on the undercard of the Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin II at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila).

Lemieux came into the opening round throwing bombs and finally caught O'Sullivan with a big left as the round draw to a close.

Lemieux (40-4-0, 34KOs) who lost to unified middleweight champion Golovkin and to WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders, wants to face the winner of the Canelo-Golovkin fight.

"It's a 50-50 fight," Lemieux said when asked who he thinks will win between Canelo and Golovkin. "But I want to face Golovkin on my peak. I was not 100% percent when I faced him. But whoever wins, I want to face the winner," Lemieux said.
