MARQUEZ OVERWHELMS JUAREZ, CALLS OUT PACQUIAO!
By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Sun, 04 Nov 2007

WBC super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico successfully defended his title by dominating Houston's Rocky Juarez over twelve rounds at the Dersert Diamond Casino in Tuczon, Arizona today.
Juarez was cut near his left eye in the first round by an accidental headbutt and blood continue dripping from it throughout the contest bothering Juarez no end. But cut or no cut, the shorter Juarez was clearly no match to Marquez's superior boxing skills as Marquez dominated the contest with his excellent counterpunching abilities.
The official scorecards were 118-110, 117-111 and 120-108, all for Marquez.
After the fight, the teary-eyed Marquez called out Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao for a long-awaited rematch of their 2004 classic fight where Marquez came back from three knockdowns in the first round to dominate Pacquiao in the remainder of the fight en route to a controversial draw.
The Pacquiao camp had earlier been silent on a Marquez rematch claiming that a Marquez fight would not draw much money in the PPV. However, an overwhelming number of boxing fans are clamoring for this fight to happen to finally put to rest the questions left hanging from thier first fight.
