CEBU CITY ? Below are the preliminary bout results on the Milan Melindo vs Hekkie Budler IBF world junior flyweight championship at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino here Saturday night.

5th fight, 10 rounds bantamweight: Two-time world title challenger 'King' Arthur Villanueva won by TKO in the 3rd round over fellow two-time world title challenger Richie Mepranum who refused to come out in the 4th round. Arthur Villanueva (31-2-0, 1&KOs), 28 of Bacolod City came after Mepranum (31-7-1, 8KOs), 30, of Maasim, Sarangani, without letup enveloping Mepranum with left crosses, right hooks and straights to the head and body. Although Mepranum evaded many of those shots from Villanueva, the ones that hit their mark, mostly in the body had sapped Mepranum's energy forcing him to give up the fight at the end of the third round.
