WEIGHTS FROM CEBU CITY: MELINDO STRUGGLES TO MAKE WEIGHT; BUDLER AT 108 LBS

PhilBoxing.com

CEBU CITY -- There were moments of uncertainty during Friday's weighin at the SM City Cebu Activity Center when IBF defending champion Milan Melindo, even after stripping his underwear, failed to make weight on his first try, coming one and one-fourth pound over and looked drained. Hekkie Budler, meanwhile, who looked very relaxed, stepped the scales at exactly 108 lbs, the junior flyweight limit. Melindo came back to the weighing scale about one hour and 15 minutes, stipped naked, and finally made weight, to the great relief of his handlers.

The weighin was supervised by IBF supervisor Fritz Gaston and Cebu GAB official Rolando Mendoza.
