By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Mon, 04 Sep 2017

Defending OPBF lightweight champion Masayoshi Nakatani of Japan demolished challenger Ryan Sermona of the Philippines knocking down the Filipino two times in round four en route to a 4th round TKO victory Sunday night at the Shimazu Arena in Kyoto, Japan.
Nakatani, 28, of Osaka, remains undefeated who now has 15 wins with 9 knockouts in his pro record. He won the OPBF lightweight title on Jan. 14, 2011 by dethroning compatriot Yoshitaka Kato and has now successfully defended it eight times. His other Filipino victims who challenged his belt were Ricky Sismundo and Allan Ta?ada.
Sermona, 29, of Himamaylan, Negros Occidental, came from two knockout wins against Ronald Pastrano and Roberto Gonzales for the GAB lightweight title before earning a majority draw against China's Yangcheng Jin in May, 2017. Sermona has now dropped his record to 20 wins, 9 losses, 1 draw with 13 wins inside the distance.
