REY VARGAS RETAINS WBC SUPERBANTAM BELT WINNING BY UD OVER RONNY RIOS

CARSON, CA -- Rey Vargas (30-0-0, 22KO) of Mexico City wins by unanimous decision over Ronny Rios (28-2-0, 13KO) of Santa Ana CA to keep his WBC super bantamweight belt on the main undercard of the Miguel Cotto-Yoshihiro Kamegai WBO super welterweight middleweight championship at the StubHub Center here Saturday night. Scores were: 118-110, 118-110 and 115-113 all in favor for Vargas. Crowds did not agree with the wide scores that did not seem to reflect the fight and booed the decision.
