GAB Chief: ?Body punches will kill Barrera?
By Alex P. Vidal PhilBoxing.com Sun, 30 Sep 2007
 Dr. Nasser Cruz.
It will be Manny Pacquiao?s body punches that will destroy Marco Antonio Barrera when the two great ring gladiators face for the second time in a 12-round non-title duel on Oct. 6 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This was the bold prediction made recently by Games and Amusement Board (GAB) boxing chief Dr. Nasser Cruz who will be at ringside when the historic match unfolds in another megabuck pay-per-view promotion of Bob Arum?s Top Rank.
?As long as he will not run and will fight toe-to-toe with Pacquiao, he will be annihilated by Manny?s body punches. Dyan magaling si Manny and Barrera is weak in the body,? said Cruz who will fly to Las Vegas on Oct. 2.
Cruz said Barrera, like other Mexicans who fought Pacquiao, does not have a big punch that can put Pacquiao to sleep.
?He vowed to knockout Pacquiao but he does not have a big punch,? said Cruz.
The former ring physician who has been lecturer in the World Boxing Council (WBC) conventions cited Barrera?s recent title fight with fellow Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez where Barrera yielded his WBC superfeatherweight crown by unanimous decision.
?Barrera and Marquez tore each other apart but they could not knock out each other because they don?t have the big punch like Manny Pacquiao,? Cruz said.
