NBA PLAYOFFS -- Aldridge shines with 26, Spurs win Game 3, 103-92

HOUSTON -- After a slow start in these playoffs, LaMarcus Aldridge found his All-Star form on Friday night and helped the San Antonio Spurs take a 2-1 series lead following a masterful 103-92 victory at the Toyota Center.
Aldridge sank 12 of 20 field goals to finish with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard also had 26 with 10 rebounds while Pau Gasol asserted himself in the pain with 12 points and 9 boards.
The Spurs played without Tony Parker who is out for the remainder of the playoffs with a torn quad. In his absence, the Spurs got 15 points from Patty Mills and 11 from Danny Green.
With his team down and the series and the Spurs regaining homecourt advantage, Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni showed little concern about his team's lack of energy.
"No, the intensitiy was right, we held them down to 45%. We just couldn't get our offense going. Guys couldn't get open and when they were they weren't making them. They hit some shots and they won," D'Antoni told the Associated Press.
Harden scored 43 points on 28 field goal attempts. Trevor Ariza had 17 while Clint Capela added 12 and 16 rebounds. But Patrick Beverley, Eric Gordon, Lou Williams and Ryan Anderson, didn't provide much support as they combined for just 6-of-31 shooting from the field.
The Rockets, who blew out the Spurs in Game 1 in San Antonio, couldn't get their offense going, shooting just 36.4 from the field and 30.8 percent from long distance.
The Interstate 10 rivals will meet again for Game 4 at the Toyota Center late Sunday night at 8pm (Monday 8 am in Manila).
