CUADRAS THINKS HE BEAT GONZALEZ, CASIMERO SUPPORTS HIS POSITION
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Wed, 14 Sep 2016
Former WBC super flyweight world champion, Carlos Cuadras, chatted with the boxing media through a tele conference during the WBC weekly presser about his great and memorable match with Roman ?Chocolatito? Gonzalez....which stung!
A match celebrated at the Inglewood Forum in California, which Carlos pointed out as one of the most intense fights on his career, unfortunately didn?t end well for him.
The WBC internet site said tThe Mexican says he thinks he won the fight and that he was hurt by the judges' decision, as it was by far the best performance of his career.
However, Carlos resolves this defeat will boost him, and that he will definitely seek a rematch with ?Chocolatito.
Cuadras said ?Roman is an excellent fighter, I can't and I won't deny it. I was prepared to box him in order to offer a great show to all people at the Forum, but I think I had to risk more and to try my utmost for the KO.?
He added ?I missed being more clear. I want the rematch and I assure you I will bring back the belt to Mexico."
Carlos also claimed that the power of Roman is not as potent as many people think. And Carlos thinks Luis ?Nica? Concepcion is stronger than Roman.
Cuadras got some unexpected support from IBF flyweight champion Johnreil Casimero who watched the fight on television in London and wondered how he won, although promoter Sammy Gello-ani said Gonzalez ?is the best of the best.?
