SEAN GIBBONS SAYS ANCAJAS GOT A CHANCE AND GRABBED IT
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sun, 04 Sep 2016

Well-known boxing man Sean Gibbons who worked with international promoter/matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz to win the purse bid and bring the IBF super flyweight championship between defending champion McJoe Arroyo and MP Promotions Jerwin Ancajas, told The Standard that Jerwin ?had a great shot, fought above himself and captured the moment.?
Gibbons who flew to London early Sunday to be at the O2 Arena for the IBF flyweight title defense of Johnreil Casimero against unbeaten Charlie Edwards on September 10, said Ancajas who had ?an opportunity to fight before his hometown crowd helped bring Jerwin to another level? which the newly crowned champion himself recognized, telling us the crowd gave him a huge lift.
Gibbons revealed that they were ?lucky to win the purse bid for MP Promotions because a lot of people in the US wanted to bring it there? but they told them ?it's not about the money, it's about the opportunity to fight here in the Philippines. It?s a dream and Jerwin fulfilled that dream.?
Senator Manny Pacquiao received the belt from Ancajas in a courtesy call at his Forbes Park residence and invited him to report to his senate office on Monday where he is expected to give Ancajas who received a very small amount as his purse, a hefty bonus for giving MP Promotions its first world title.
