NEWLY CROWNED WBC SILVER CHAMPION MUHAMMAD WASEEM CELEBRATES HIS VICTORY

Muhammad Waseem, referred to as ?The Pride of Pakistan? is celebrating his successful victory in the WBC flyweight Silver championship when he defeated the vastly experienced Filipino Jether ?The General? Oliva at the Millenium Hilton in Seoul, Suth Korea last July 17.
The undefeated Waseem (4-0, 3 KOs) fought former world title contender Jeter Oliva (23-6-2, 11 KOs), and displayed what the WBC reported was ?his consummate boxing skills to dominate the experienced Oliva, during the 12 rounds. The official results of the Judges? cards were: 120-112, twice, and 119-113.
?What an achievement! As Muhammad Waseem only joined the pro ranks last year? according to the WBC internet site which said Waseem?s success had followed a glittering amateur career where as recently as 2014, he won the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland!?
The WBC said ?it is so very proud of the champion Waseem and his promoter, Andy Kim, as they also rejected an invitation to participate in the Rio Olympic Games. Instead he concentrated and focused, in order to brilliantly conquer the Green and Gold... silver belt!?
