BOXING SAGA AT THE WATER CUBE DAY ONE

BEIJING, CHINA ? The Multi-Functional Hall of the Water Cube has become the newest hub for professional boxing here in China. The Cube, also known as the National Aquatics Center, hosted the first of a back to back fight card Friday featuring ten four round bouts in four weight categories.
For the featherweights:
Mai Jintian beat Nuerkailide by majority decision in a hard fought match. Judges scores ? Samson Iu 40 ? 36, Edward Ligas 39-37, Wu Debing 38-38.
Luo Shaofang scored a unanimous verdict against Yi Biao. Scores ? Zhao Yanfang and Sawaeng Thaweekoon ? 39-37, Yuan Yunzi ? 40-36.
Wu Anrong also got a majority decision win over Lu Zhichao. Scores ? Wu Debing and Samson Iu ? 39-37, Surat Soikrachang ? 38-38.
For the lightweights:
Zheng Wenhao got a first round TKO win over Zeng Shunfa. Time 2:50.
Chen Xiaolong beat Yue Zengge by unanimous decision. Scores ? Sungworn Klungboonkrung and Wu Debing ? 39-37, Samson Iu ? 40-36.
Aketejieke beat Terigun by TKO in thirty seconds of the opening round.
For the welterweights:
Wang Jinjiang beat Aketeliete by TKO in the second round. The fight was stopped at 1:16 due to excessive nosebleed due to a legal punch.
Feng Hao won by unanimous decision over Diliyaer. Scores ? Edward Ligas -39-37, Wu Debing and Sawaeng Thwaeekoon ? 40-36.
For the middleweights:
Zhao Xiaoyu beat Zhou Zhen by TKO in the third round. Time 2:56.
Adili Abulmiti also had a TKO win over Di Hongzhi who chose not to answer the bell for the third round.
