LEAGUE OF FISTS SEASON II: SLAM BANG SATURDAY AT YUN SPACE

SHANGHAI,CHINA ? Eight fan-friendly fights capped the fourth round matches of the second season of the League of Fists boxing tournament.

Light heavyweights Zhang Chengbo and Maheshati Jinensibieke opened the show with Zhang dropping Maheshati down hard twice in the opening round prompting Referee Sawaeng Thaweekoon to stop the fight at the 1:34 mark.

Liu Zhong beat Jin Dunshun by unanimous decision in their give and take super bantamweight bout. Jin was hurt by body shots in the third and faded in the fourth round. Scores ? Edward Ligas and Sungworn Klungboonkrung ? 39-37, Tao Zhendong ? 40-36.
Zhong is now 6-0,1KO.

Light flyweights Ma Haibin and Le Hongwei battled to a majority draw. Scores ? Mekin Sumon and Le Yiwen ? 38-38, Yin Hiayang 39-37.

Mielifeier Dalielibieke stopped Jiangnibieke Muhertaerbieke in third round in another light heavyweight scrap. Jiangnibieke was cornered and hit by several hard punches. Referee Sawaeng Thaweekoon called a halt at 1:11.

Chen Sen needed only 52 seconds to knock down Yang Tingwu twice in the first round making referee Sungworn Klungboonkrung signal the short end to the super bantamweight bout.
Chen is now 6-0,1KO.

Muhetaer Maihemuti continuously pounded Rousidanmu until referee Han Hongxiang stopped it at 1:02 of the fourth and final round of another light heavyweight bout.

Light flyweight Wu Rongguo edged Xu Runlong by majority decision. Scores ? Mekin Sumon ? 39-37, Han Hongxiang ? 40-36, Feng Yaocheng ? 38-38.

Mai Qingxian scored a knockdown in round one with a short right and beat Ni Zhuang by unanimous decision in their suoerbantamweight contest. This served as the evening?s final bout. Yin Haiyang and Edward Ligas ? 40-35,Sungworn Klungboonkrong ? 39-36. Mai goes up to 4-0-1,1KO.

The second of a back to back weekend fight card was held in Yun Space, Elite Valley, Shanghai. The boxing show coincided with the Dragon Boat Festival celebrations here in China and was officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission of China (PBCC). The ongoing second season of the League of Fists boxing tournament is promoted by Seca and Top Rank.
