THE FIGHT DXB: ABARRA KO?S CHANSAKNOI

PhilBoxing.com

DUBAI, UAE - Larry Abarra certainly knows how to close a show.

The Filipino expat landed a left hook on the jaw of Chansaknoi Sakrungruang (Natthapong Singsanan) and knocked the Thai out cold, face first on the canvas. The audience erupted in jubilation when Referee Sawaeng Thaweekoon immediately signaled the end of the fight and called the medical personnel at ringside to assist the fallen fighter.

Time - 1:00 of the first round.

Chansaknoi woke up after a few seconds, recovered his faculties and was able to walk out of the ring on his own.

This fight served as the main event of THE FIGHT DXB held Friday at the Ahdaaf Sports Club in Dubai.

Deo Kizito of Uganda decked Kosol Sor Vorapin of Thailand with a right cross in the second round. Kosol got up but continued to bear the brunt of Deo?s offense until the bell mercifully rang.
In the third, a clash of head inflicted a cut on Kosol?s forehead, near the left eyebrow. The fight was allowed to continue but a hard one-two combo sent Kosol down again. Referee Danrex Tapdasan reached the count of ten at the 1:00 mark.

Lasisi Aliu of Uganda scored a knockdown against Payu Sor Kounlavung (Solieng Souvannaphakdy ) of Thailand in the opening round and cruised to a lopsided unanimous decision victory. All three judges ? Edward Ligas, Mekin Sumon and Sawaeng Thaweekoon ? had it 60-53.

Irish Rohen Date decked Gerald Dah of Ghana twice in the third round; Dah?s head was slammed hard on the canvas during the second knockdown prompting Referee Danrex Tapdasan to call a halt at 2:55.

Kenyan Nicholas Mwangi beat Patrick Kalisa of Uganda by TKO in the first round. Mwangi pounced on Kalisa right from the opening bell and sent him down twice prompting Referee Mekin Sumon to signal the end at 1:55.

In the opening pro bout of the night, Daniel Emeka of Nigeria got a split decision win over Mohammed Abou Bakr of Egypt in a well fight, fast paced four rounder. Scores ? Sawaeng Thaweekoon had it 39-37 for Abou Bakr, Edward Ligas and Surat Soikrachang scored it 39-37 for Emeka.

The bouts were supervised and officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission, International.
