EARLY RESULTS FROM STAPLES CENTER: LUNA STAYS UNDEFEATED WITH ANOTHER KO VICTORY OVER HERRERA

LOS ANGELES -- Below are the early results of the Danny Garcia-Robert Herrera WBC world welterweight title bout at the Staples Center in the downtown LA here Saturday night.
In the evening's second offering, undefeated Alejandro Luna (20-0, 15KO) of Bellflower, CA had a solid performance against Alan Herrera (34-8, 22KO) of Mazatlan, Mexico who refused to come out in round 9 of their 10 round lightweight bout (top photo).
3rd fight: Jose Gomez (5-0) of Huntington Park, CA defeated Michael Gaxiola (4-6) of Modesto, CA in their four-round featherweight bout.
In the curtain raiser, debuting local boy Sergio Quiroz (L) won a four round decision over Damon Simon (0-3) in their super bantamweight contest. All 3 judges scored the bout in favor of Quiroz, 40-36 40-36 & 39-37.
