By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Wed, 07 Oct 2015
 Payao.
FORMER World Boxing Council (WBC) World Youth super flyweight champion Jhaleel ?The Cebuano Disaster? Payao will face knockout artist Jason Umbal on October 24 at the Lagao Gym in General Santos City.
The 8-rounder bout will serve as the main supporting fight in the inaugural comeback promotion of the ?Blow by Blow? TV Show.
?This one is surely another good match since both fighters are knockout artists and sluggers. Matira ang matibay,? said promoter Manny Pinol.
Payao, 22, has a ring record of 11 wins with six knockouts and only one defeat and no draw while 21-year old Umbal is toting 8 wins, 6 KOs, 3 loses and no draw.
The 5-foot-6 Payao of Omega Boxing Gym in Cebu captured the WBC World Youth super flyweight crown via a unanimous decision win over Rene Dacquel last Dec. 9 in Manila.
He also earlier won the Philippine Boxing Federation super flyweight title by a UD against Dondon Jimenea last Feb. 7, 2014 in Cebu. Payao also defended it successfully against Nicardo Calamba by a UD on April 23 in Cebu.
Payao, however, lost his WBC Youth world title in his title-defense to Michael Dasmarinas also by UD last July 11 in Mandaluyong City.
Payao was deducted one point in round 6 due to an accidental head butt suffered by Dasmarinas in his right eyelid.
Umbal, on the other hand, is coming from an 8-round UD victory against Eric Panza at the Araneta Coliseum last March 28.
Umbal, who is handled by Brit-Aussie trainer Wally Townsend downed Panza once in both rounds 1 and 3.
The main event of the Blow by Blow, which will now be shown on ABC TV 5 under the productions of 8-time world division champion Manny Pacquiao has a total of 72 rounds with four 8-rounders, five 6-rounders and three 4-rounders.
The official weigh-in is on Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. at the MP Hotel. ? LITO DELOS REYES
