NBA Playoffs -- Butler shines, Bulls soar to 2-0 lead By Anthony Rozic PhilBoxing.com Tue, 21 Apr 2015 ![]() CHICAGO -- The Butler did it. Jimmy Butler's star continued to rise on Monday night, leading the Chicago Bulls to a hard-earned 91-82 Game 2 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at the United Center. With 7:13 left to play and Chicago hanging on to a shaky 78-74 lead, Butler took over by erupting with a 7-0 run that sealed Milwaukee's fate. Butler's tear included an old-fashioned 3-point play, a 25-foot-3 and a pair of free throws. Butler, who tallied 14 fourth-quarter points, finished with a career playoffs high of 31, eclipsing his Game 1 output of 25. "Jo (Noah), Derrick (Rose) were telling me to score the ball -- literally telling me to shoot and not to pass up any shots. I was feeling a little bit so I was just put the ball in the basket," Butler said. In his second playoffs game since tearing his ACL in 2012, Derrick Rose had a complete effort of 15 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds. The former MVP logged 38 minutes of play. Khris Middleton paced the Bucks with 22 points but one else besides Michael Carter-Williams (12 points, 5 rebounds) scored in double figures. Ersan Ilyasove made only 3 of 10 field goals for 8 points while Giannis "The Greek Freak" Antetokounmpo missed 9 of his 11 shots and settled with 6 points and 11 boards. Milwaukee held Chicago to just 31 of 81 from the field (38.3 percent), but the Bucks couldn't capitalize as their offense sputtered, making only 32 of 90 shots (35.6 percent). The Bucks converted just 4 of 17 form 3-point range while the Bulls drained 12 of 33, a 36-12 point differential. The best-of-7 series shifts to the BMO Harris in Milwaukee for Game 3 on Thursday night. The Bucks trail the series, 2-0.
