LLOYD?S OF LONDON INGA BEALE SPOTTED IN LAS VEGAS By Greg R. Penilla, M.D. PhilBoxing.com Wed, 01 Apr 2015 Beale. Late Tuesday evening, there was a flurry of activities at a $20,000 a night penthouse in one of the MGM properties along the famous glitzy Las Vegas strip. A well placed source working in the unidentified hotel witnessed the comings and goings of very important personalities involved in the Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight of the Century. First to arrive was Top Rank CEO Bob Arum well known for his rosy cheeks was uncharacteristically ashen faced with stepson and Top Rank President right behind practically running towards an exclusive elevator being held open by a burly bodyguard. Within minutes of each other, Mayweather?s adviser Al Haymon and HBO?s Chairman and CEO Richarcd Plepfer arrived with a cadre of well dressed executives in tow. A black and heavily tinted 2015 Mercedes Maybach S600 brought Showtime?s Stephen Espinoza together with CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves, the man who is hailed by everyone involved in the negotiations as the catalyst that made this mega fight come into being. And just before 12:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, a Filipino-American airport official who is in charge of international chartered flights confirmed that a private jet owned by Lloyd?s of London touched down at McCarran International Airport carrying no less than its CEO, Ms. Inga Beale. What is going on? What is the CEO of Lloyd?s of London doing in Las Vegas? Why are the main players of the half a billion dollar Pacquiao-Mayweather Fight of All Ages meeting in the middle of the night? The CEO of the world?s leading insurance company is spotted in Las Vegas while a group of scrambling executives responsible for the most lucrative fight in the history of boxing are having an emergency meeting in a luxury penthouse. Should boxing fans be worried? Floyd Mayweather, Jr, the usually brash and arrogant motormouth is strangely quiet. There has been muffled rumblings within the Team TBE camp about Floyd's curious demeanor. Money Mayweather?s hand therapist is noted to be remarkably omnipresent in the camp. Are Floyd?s fragile hands impeding his training and putting the fight in jeopardy? One would hate to come into a dire conclusion on this first day of April.
