NBA -- Parker shines with 32 in Spurs' 116-105 win over Bulls By Anthony Rozic PhilBoxing.com Tue, 10 Mar 2015 ![]() CHICAGO -- After a so-so season marred by injuries Tony Parker returned to vintage form on Sunday afternoon and guided the San Antonio Spurs to their fifth straight win. The 6-foot-3 Parker, a 6-time All-Star, netted 13 of 19 field goals for 32 points and the Spurs handled the Chicago Bulls, 116-105, at the AT&T Center. Parker also had four rebounds, a pair of assists and a steal in 30 minutes. "I'm still dealing with some stuff, but I'm going to fight through it. I'm tired of talking about it. I kept saying I'm going to fight through it and I would rather play than stay out," the 32-year old Parker told ESPN With their fifth straight W, the Spurs improved to 39-23, seventh place in a tighly contested Western Conference. More importantly, Parker's improving health bodes well for the Spurs as they brace to defend their title in the postseason. "He's been in that mode for the last two or three games and feeling pretty confident about his health," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said. Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili starred for the Spurs as well, contributing 20 and 16 points, respectively. Patty Mills added 15 and Danny Green made three threes for 11. Paul Gasol led the Bulls with yet another double-double (23 points, 15 rebounds) while Aaron Brooks had 22 points while filling in the starting point guard slot without the injured Derrick Rose. The Bulls played Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson but Nikola Mirotic provided scoring punch off the bench with 19 points. With back-to-back losses, the Bulls dropped to 39-23 and now trail the 40-25 Cleveland Cavaliers for second place in the Eastern Conference.
