NBA -- Hawks withstand Bucks' rally, hold on to win, 97-86

MILWAUKEE - The Atlanta Hawks relinquished an early 15-point lead but gathered their bearings to eventually hold off the Milwaukee Bucks, 97-86 on Sunday afternoon at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Paul Millsap guided the Hawks with 23 points and 16 boards while Al Horford added 15 and eight rebounds. Kyle Korver finished with 12 points, including four 3s, and the Hawks kept the best record in the Eastern Conference with a 44-12 slate.
Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 19 each, but Milwaukee, which came back from a 48-35 deficit and tied the score at 66-all, lost steam in the fourth quarter. The Hawks outscored the Bucks 31-22 in the final 12 minutes to win their fourth assignment in eight tries.
Although the defeat dropped the Bucks record to 31-24, they remained in 6th place in the Eastern Conference and hold a commanding 7.5 game lead over 7th placer the Miami Heat.
