NBA -- Pistons rally past sluggish Bulls, 100-91 By Anthony Rozic PhilBoxing.com Sun, 22 Feb 2015 ![]() CHICAGO -- After trailing 53-45 at halftime, the Detroit Pistons opened the third quarter with a 24-7 run and used it as stepping stone on the way to a 100-91 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Greg Monroe and Caron Butler each had 20 points to lead the Pistons on Friday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Andre Drummond had 18 points and 20 rebounds while Spencer Dinwiddie and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished with 12 points apiece as all Detroit's starters scored in double-figures. Although the Pistons made only six of 22 triples, they converted 38 of their 84 field goals overall to improve to 22-33 and move to within 1.5 games of the 8th and last playoffs berth in the Eastern Conference. Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 30 points while Taj Gibson pitched in with 15 and nine boards. But star guard Derrick Rose made only 2-of-9 field goals for a mere eight points in 31 minutes. Rose also had a game-high six turnovers against only two assists. "I just couldn't find my game. Not touching a ball in a couple of days, just have to catch that rhythm again. It's just going to take getting into the gym," Rose told the Chicago Tribune after the debacle. "This one hurt," Rose added after the Bulls' record to 34-21. They kept their third-place spot in the East but they now lead the fourth-place Cleveland Cavaliers (34-22) by just a half-game.
