By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Sun, 22 Apr 2007

Victorias City -- Local boy Donnie Nietes retained his WBO Asia-Pacific minimumweigh title by knocking out the undersized Thai Thongthailek Por Vorasing in the 2nd round of their 12-round championship bout at the Victorias Gym here.
Nietes caught Vorasing with a flush right straight to the jaw that sent the hapless Thai to the canvas unconscious for a few minutes. Local medics had to revive Vorasing who finally regained consciousness and get back on his feet.
Nietes's record has now improved to 20-1-3 (11 ko's) while Vorasing has dropped to 3-4-0 according to Boxrec.
