CHICAGO -- The Milwaukee Bucks traded point guard and leadiing scorer Brandon Knight to the Phoenix Suns in a blockbuster three-team deal that highlighted the NBA's February 19 trading deadline on Wednesday.
In return, the Bucks have acquired reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams from the Philadelphia 76ers as well as rookie Tyler Ennis and three-year veteran Miles Plumlee from the Phoenix Suns.
The Sixers, meanwhile, acquired multiple draft picks.
Knight, 23, led Milwaukee with 17.8 points, 5.4 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 52 starts. A free agent this coming July, Knight, a University of Kentucky alum, will not ply his trade in Phoenix, who earlier in the day, shipped point guard Goran Dragic to the Miami Heat.
Carter-Williams appeared in 41 games with the Sixers and normed 15 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. Ennis, a 6-foot-2 rookie out of Syracuse, suited only for eight games with the Suns and contributed 2.8 points and 1.8 dimes per. Plumlee, a 6-foot-11 center played 18.6 minutes an outing in 54 games as a Sun and averaged 4.3 points and 5.1 rebounds.
"I can't lie. I'm shocked. I love this city thank you for evrything. I can honestly say I gave it my all. I wish Philly nothing but the best," Carter-Williams announced through Twitter.
