REIGNING WBC Asian Boxing Council and Philippine junior welterweight champion Adones Cabalquinto, Aston Palicte and their separate opponents from Thailand all made the second weigh-in as required by the International Boxing Federation this morning (Jan. 31) at the Royal Mandaya Hotel.

IBF bout supervisor and Games and Amusements Board (GAB) supervisor Mathew ?Fritz? Gaston conducted another mandatory weigh-in to Cabalquinto, Palicte and their rivals Denkamon Pakdee Gym and Jomyuthlek Sor Narongchai, respectively.
Although Palicte and Narongchai already passed their weight-limit during Friday?s first official weigh-in at 115 and 114 lbs., respectively for their agreed 114 lbs., they were still ordered to be check the following morning (Jan. 31) by the IBF.
?We want to be sure that after the weigh-in they will only gain a maximum of 10 pounds from their agreed weight as allowed by the IBF rules,? said Gaston.

Palicte added nine pounds at 124 while Narongchai only tipped the scales at 117 lbs. today.

?Okay lang yun kasi hindi sila nag-exceed sa maximum allowed na 10 pounds,? Gaston said.
