INDIANAPOLIS -- After a slow start in which they missed 13 of their first 21 shots, the Toronto righted the ship and used a strong second half effort to beat the Indiana Pacers, 104-91, on Tuesday night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
DeMar DeRozan spearheaded the Raptors with 24 points on 7-for-15, while Kyle Lowry added 19 points and eight assists. Lou Williams had 14 and Patrick Patterson added 13 for Toronto, which fell trailed, 28-21, entering the second quarter.
With the win, the Raptors stayed in third place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 30-15 slate. Despite their impressive start, though, Toronto head coach Dwyane Casey still sees a lot of improvement to be done.
"We're still not a finished product. We still got of a lot of work on. Guys have to stay hungry, stay focused because it's a long season," Casey told reporters after the game.
Rodney Stuckey was the high point man for the host Pacers with 22 points. Solomon Hill finished with 15 markers while point guard George Hill pitched in 13. David West and Roy Hibbert tallied 11 points apiece for Indiana, which dropped to 12th place in the Eastern Conference with a 16-31 record.
