BOXED TO BOX EACH OTHER - PAC, FLOYD THIS CHRISTMAS
By Reni M. Valenzuela PhilBoxing.com Sat, 27 Dec 2014

?Charlie Brown, you?re the only person I know who can take a wonderful season like Christmas and turn it into a problem.? - Linus
Who still doubt that the Mega Bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is coming next year must be with innocent kids in believing that Santa Claus is coming to town this Yuletide Season.
Faith isn?t of value and use for a man who is forced by the circumstances to believe. You can?t have truth by skepticism or simply agreeing with it. Know that anything less than faith or beyond it is entangling. It is what brings joy that makes sense when you expect something to happen. The rest are ?miracles? that may never come. Nobody undermines or exaggerates destiny.
This is reality transcendent of ?scholarly? grasp.
The Mega Bout is no fancy dream. Unlike some stars and biggies in the sport, Santa Claus, though just a fairy tale, is neither a brat nor a croc. Boxing?s leading stars are henceforth and thus far compelled to heed the popular clamor, making the ?Mayweather vs. Pacquiao? a done deal for 2015 as a consequence of ?irony vs. reason,? and as far as the people are concerned.
So what?s wrong?
Tim Dahlberg of Associated Press did an insightful column last December 15. He wrote, ?The wizard of defense has finally been boxed into a corner. The charade is over, whether Mayweather realizes it or not. He must fight Pacquiao next if his career is to have any legitimacy. And he must do it on terms that reflect he won?t be the only superstar in the ring.?
?Mayweather has nowhere to run,? taunts Pacquiao. Yet the same thing can be said of Pacquiao by Mayweather. Truth is, they are both boxed by the fans to box each other. Floyd brags that he is his own boss which, he claims, is what sets him apart from Pacman who has a Bob Arum to maneuver him. Truth is, Mayweather has the people now as his new boss - to listen to.
Problems, at times, exist just in the mind. Correct thinking makes them disappear.
A blessed CHRISTmas, Charlie Brown.
Be merry.
