NBA -- Healthy Thunder beat Sixers By Kirk Coyoca PhilBoxing.com Sun, 07 Dec 2014 MIAMI- If there was something missing from the Oklahoma City Thunder in their first 16 games of the season it was a clean bill of health to its key players. For the second game in a row Oklahoma got its two superstars back. Russell Westbrook scored 30 points and dished out 7 assists and led the Thunder to a 103-91 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.. The visiting Thunder used a 13-3 run to start the second half to pull away from the hosts 70-50 with 8 minutes and 17 seconds left in the third period. Oklahoma shot 49.3 percent from the field while Philly only made 38.1 percent of their shot attempts which essentially spelled the difference for the game. "It's a good time of the year for us,'' Westbrook told the Associated Press "I think it's important that we stick together, take one day at a time and find a way to get wins.'' Kevin Durant struggled Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center, scoring just 10 points on 3 for 11 shooting, but his teammates picked up the slack, Serge Ibaka scored 19 points and Jeremy Lamb added 15 points off the bench. ''We've just got to take it a day at a time and keep getting better,'' Durant told the Associated Press 'We're doing a decent job. We've just got to keep putting it together, keep grinding away.'' After earning their first win of the season the last gameagainst Minnesota, The Sixers are back to their losing ways again. Michael Carter-Williams tallied 16 points and 14 assists while reserve forward Robert Covington pitched in 21 points. The Thunder has now won 11 straight games against Sixers.
