SAN FRANCISCO -- The Golden State Warriors pelted the Orlando Magic defense with 12 triples and scored an easy 111-96 road victory on Wednesday night at the Amway Center.
Six of the dozen treys were sank by Stephen Curry, who finished with 28 points and eight assists. Harrison Barnes added 16 while Shaun Livingston tallied 15. Klay Thompson missed 9 of 14 shots and settled with only 12.
The Warriors made 44 of 85 field goals and led 65-52 after two quarters. The lead ballooned to 27 --- 90-63 --- when Marreese Speights drilled a 2 with 38 seconds left in the third period.
"Right now I think we have a pretty high level of tunnel vision to stay in the moment, cherish every opportunity to play. We're winning in different styles, everybody's getting involved and you enjoy that as you go along," Curry told ESPN.com.
Tobias Harris paced Orlando with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Elfrid Payton had 13 and five assists while Ben Gordon finished with 13. Victor Oladipo scored 12 more for the Magic.
With their seventh straight triumph, the Warriors raised their record to 12-2 for third place in the overall standings behind the Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors who both carry 13-2 cards.
The Magic, meanwhile, plummeted to their third consecutive defeat and fell to 6-11 and in 10th place in the Eastern Conference. (JSM)
