ZOU SHIMING KNOCKS DOWN KWANPICHIT 4 TIMES EN ROUTE TO DOMINANT WIN
By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Sun, 23 Nov 2014

MACAU ? Displaying great improvement and maturity, China's Zou Shiming dominated erstwhile undefeated Thai WBO Asia-Pacific champion Kwanpichit OnesosngchaiGym, sending the Thai to the canvas four times en route to a wide unanimous decision win and retained his WBO International fylweight title at the CotaiArena at The Venetian Hotel here Sunday afternoon. Scores were 119-106, 119-106, 120-103 in favor of the two-time Olympic gold medalist and Chinese star Zou Shiming.
Shiming knocked down Kwanpichit two times in the second round, once in the 6th and in the closing minute of the last round and peppered the game Thai throughout in a commanding performance. The frustrated Thai, who did everything to turn the fight around, was deducted a point in the 6th for repeated low blows, inflicted a cut to Shiming's eyebrow with a headbutt in the 8th round and continued his relentless attack against the Chinese towards the end of the fight.
Blood intermittently dripped from the Zou's cut in the later rounds which obviously bothered the Chinese star and although he was instructed by trainer Freddie Roach to finish the Thai, Shiming failed to stop Kwanpichit but instead coasted with for the win.
Shiming improved to 6-0 with 1 knockout while Kwanpichit dropped to 27-1-2.
