WHY PACQUIAO VS. ALGIERI? PEOPLE POWER IN BOXING CONTINUES By Reni M. Valenzuela PhilBoxing.com Sat, 01 Nov 2014 The fans have spoken. Don?t waste the gains of boxing when the actual pay-per-view (PPV) numbers for the recent fights of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao were made to look bad and disappointing for those who are bereft of purpose other than their own purpose. Boxing is half way through in beating itself to heal a human sport bitten by vampires. Sanity ruled despite the jerks and crooks. The people?s win is your win. Why Pacquiao?s upcoming bout against Chris Algieri in Macau, China isn?t worth watching? Aside from being just a ?money show,? why the ?fight? will not catch the interest of both the hardcore and casual fans enough for them NOT to spend their precious dollars for it? And why am I not watching this so called ?Clash in Cotai II? and the other future clashes of Pacquiao (except versus Mayweather) when I am full-blooded Filipino and a fan of the Filipino sports icon? Why pamper Sponge Bob after having made Floyd and Showtime realize in the last two ?TBE? shows that there is no money in their forthcoming scheduled ?fights? except the fight opposite Pacquiao? Why, for heaven?s sake, let Konzc and Arum wallow anew in excuses to stubbornly make ?boxing shows? for their cash cow and thereby transform them into roadblocks again to the one and only real and richest fight that matters to Pacquiao and the whole world? Why befuddled that irony never leaves an ironic person? Why patronize the Pacquiao vs. Algieri? Why cause vampires to smile on their way to the bank at the expense of countless thinking people who should be all smiles after November 22? Why not join the worldwide PPV (People Power Victorious) movement? Brats and crocs are hard up for excuses nowadays. Won?t you care this time to take your part in the noble fight? Be smart. renimvalenzuela@yahoo.com Click here to view a list of other articles written by Reni M. Valenzuela. |
