NOVEMBER 24 TOOWOOMBA FIGHT CARD TO HELP RAISE MONEY FOR THE PHILIPPINE PEOPLE

PhilBoxing.com
Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Not only will the Sunday afternoon card at Smithy's Gym on the 24th of November showcase some of the up and coming talent from Toowoomba and the Darling downs as well as the rising professional stars of the heavy weight division, it will also provide an opportunity for Toowoomba to provide some support to the Philippine people affected by the devastating Typhoon.

10 local celebrities and business men will don the gloves and step in to the ring with one of the most feared fighters in Australia, Philippine star and adopted Toowoomba son "The Assassin" Jack Asis.

The men who have put their hand up all in the name of charity are:
-John Geiger (Geiger Civil and Electrical)
-"The Voice" Peter Rookas
- Scott Pengelly (Pengelly Trucks and Trailers)
-Dan Sercombe (WIN News)
-Ben Drewe (Toowoomba Chronicle)
-Marty Quinlan (Hutchison Builders)
-Graham Keely (Sherrif Electrical)
-"The Tangler" James O'shea
-Justin Murphy (Murphy's Meringandan Pub)
-Ray Sutton (Mick Sutton Concreting)

Each person will have one round with "The Assassin" and has bought in/ donated $500 giving us a total of $5000, money which will go directly to help those affected by the disaster in the Philippines. Our aim by fight night is to raise between $10000 and $15000 and we are accepting all donations at Smithy's Gym. This is a cause close to the heart of Smithy's Gym and Toowoomba who have a strong Philippine community.

Tickets to the event are available at Smithy's Gym at $50 for Ringside Seating and $30 for standing only. Phone 46 378 298.
