MINGLANILLA CEBU - Mexican Featherweight Jorge Pazos (20-4, 13 KOs) arrived Wednesday at Orlando International Airport in advance of next Friday?s October 19 bout against Orlando Cruz.

Cruz just last week announced he was a ?proud gay man,? This caught the boxing world by surprise as Cruz being in a macho sport and being the first active boxer to proclaim his sexual preference.

Filipino fans remember Jorge Pazos with his tough fight and warrior abilities against Filipino WBO Asia Pacific Super Bantamweight Champion and WBC International Silver Champion Genesis Servania, one of the top boxers from the ALA Boxing Gym of Cebu City Philippines. Home of WBO World Light Flyweight Champion Donnie Nietes.

In a telephone interview with his writer, Pazos currently in Kissimmee Florida stated, ?I have no problem with fighting a homosexual boxer. Cruz is a warrior with 2 fists and will come to fight. In the ring we are two boxers wanting to win.?

Pazos also added, "We are all children of God and you have to show respect to your fellow man."

In an interview with the Fianc? of Pazos, Sinaii Meza, a respected Medical Student doing her Medical internship in Culiacan, she said, ?Pazos is a true gentleman and shows respect to everyone.?

The chief trainer/manager/and soon to be father in law of Pazos Miguel Meza stated that, ?we have come prepared to fight in Florida and we will win.?

Filipino fans remember Miguel when he graced Cebu as the trainer of Carlos Jacobo in his fight against Marvin Sonsona on Oct. 15, 2011. Sonsona fights out of the world famous SSG Sammy Gello-ani Boxing Stable of Cebu. Home of IBF Light Flyweight Champion Jhonreil Casimero.

Cruz (18-2-1, 9 KOs), who hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a respected boxer having accomplished so much in his career. He was a member of the 2000 Puerto Rico Olympic Team and is and currently ranked #4 featherweight by the WBO. Cruz will defend his WBO NABO featherweight title against Pazos and a win by either fighter should position them for a world title shot.
