Hong Kong?s rising boxing star Rex ?The Wonder Kid? Tso (8-0, 5KO?s) is set to defend for the first time his green WBC Asian Continental Super Flyweight belt against battle tested Thai veteran Wandee Singwancha (67-16-1, 18KO?s) in the main event of the exciting international boxing show ?Night of Champions? to fire up Hong Kong this coming Tuesday (May 28) at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center in Wanchai; a fight card that no boxing fan in Hong Kong should miss.

It will be the first time that the 25-year-old Rex Tso faces a fighter with the experience and ring knowledge of Wandee, a Thai warrior survivor of uncountable vicious muay thai clashes and 84 professional boxing combats.

The promising Rex Tso was named "WBC Asia Continental Champion of the Year" at the "WBC Asia Annual Press Conference 2013" held at the Asia Hotel in Rachatewee, Bangkok on March 14.

Will the young gun Rex Tso with only eight boxing matches have the skills to dominate a tough old lion in Wandee Singwancha who is eager to demonstrate that he is still a tough combatant? or will the ring savvy of the 33-year-old Thailander be more than enough to sink the Hong Kong rising star?

The WBC has named its officials. Third man the legendary Bruce McTavish of New Zealand. Ringside judges Katsuhiko Nakamura of Japan, Jang-Sung Kim of Korea and Yuji Fukuchi of Japan.

FILIPINO FIGHTERS IN ACTION

In the co-main event, Filipino Mike "Tyson" Tumbaga (12-18-2, 0KO?s) of Candon City in Luzon's Ilocos Sur will have the rough job of battling heavy-handed southpaw Ekapol Yothinpanawet (13-1, 9KO?s) of Thailand for the vacant WBC ABCO super lightweight crown.

The Thailander Ekapol has defeated Filipinos Dennis Padua and Randy Megrino, but his only lost was also at the hands of a Filipino. Leyte?o Joven Jordan took Ekapol?s undefeated record years ago in Bangkok.

The referee in charge of the Ekapol vs Tumbaga rumble is veteran third man Ferdinand Estrella of the Philippines.

WBC judges for the 12-rounder ABCO title are Bruce McTavish of New Zealand, Jang-Sung Kim of Korea and Yuji Fukuchi of Japan.

In addition, in a match in the super lightweight division, Filipino newcomer Alvin ?Bambino? Cooney will wage his first pro combat against local Hong Kongner Chan Sin Man (1-0, 0KO?s).

Also, veteran Filipino Edgar Gabejan (23-29-6, 7KO?s) of Binangonan, Rizal, will be ready to rumble mean Festus Omondi of Uganda in a tough bout in the featherweight division.

WBC FEMALE WORLD TITLE CLASH

Female WBC Atom (102 lbs) World Champion Momo Koseki (15-2-1, 3KO?s) of Tokyo, Japan, makes the 11th world title defense of her green/golden belt against the furious fists of former WBC interim champ Eun-Young Huh (6-1-1, 0KO?s) of Guri, Korea. Both ladies warriors are 30 years of age.

WBC officilas for this world title match are: third man Katsuhiko Nakamura of Japan.

Ringside judges Jang-Sung Kim of Korea, Yuji Fukuchi of Japan and Ferdinand Estrella of the Philippines.

INTERNATIONAL FIGHTERS MAKE PRO DEBUTS

In a heavyweight clash, 29-year-old French fighter Oliver Prevost makes his pro debut against fellow rookie Lam Keng Fai, 24, of Macau.

In middleweights, 17-year-old Nepalese Nibesh Ghale makes first combat against Ng Kuok Kun, 22, also from Macau.

In a bantamweight war, A.O. Chu of Hong Kong takes on well trained Kong Kiatpracha of the Kingdom of Thailand.
