NBA -- Coach Kidd ready to guide "young" Bucks

MILWAUKEE -- Under the stewardship of a new head coach, Jason Kidd, and the arrival of a rookie sensation Jabari Parker, the upcoming 2014-15 NBA season bears a lot of promise for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Speaking before reporters before members of the media at the team's practice facility in St. Francis, Wisconsin, Kidd sais he is "excited" to lead his "young team" to a productive season.

Before taking over as the Bucks head coach a few months ago, Kidd finished his rookie coaching season by leading the Brooklyn Nets to a 44-38 regular season record and playoff run that lasted two rounds.

Besides veterans Zaza Pachulia, Larry Sanders, O.J. and Irsan Ilyasova, the Bucks have added top rookie Jabari Parker in the line-up. Parker, a Duke University alum, was taken by the Bucks at No.2 in the 2014 NBA draft last June at the Barclays Center in New York.

Parker averaged 22 points and 8 rebounds per game during his lone collegiate season at the NCAA. He can play both forwards spots but is more comfortable at the four. (With additional reports from Homer D. Sayson)
