DALAGUETE, CEBU--Manila-based Dodie Boy Agrabio outpunched a much-taller JR Sollano en route to winning the vacant Philippine superfeatherweight title in this town's sports complex.
Agrabio, assisted on his corner by his trainer-brother Jun, landed the more and cleaner shots, as Sollano faded down the stretch.
The shorter Agrabio made good use of a wild right that puzzled Sollano no end before eking out a 115-114, 116-112, 116-112 verdict that sent him to his knees in jubilation upon the announcement of the result.
Agrabio is set to return here sometime middle of this year to defend the title.
