Joyi.
Comparatively unknown Filipino Benezer ?Bulldozer? Alolod will fight former IBF straw weight champion Nkosinathi Joyi of South Africa for the WBC International junior flyweight title at the Emperors Palace near Johannesburg on August 31.
The fight is aimed at reviving the career of Joyi who is 30 years old and has a record of 23-2 with 16 knockouts.
Joyi, who recently failed in his bid to win the IBO title from Hekkie Budler, would have fought another Filipino, Edrin Dapudong, for the WBC super-flyweight title had he won against Budler.
Dapudong won the IBO title with a sensational first round knockout of Gideon Buthelezi in a rematch after he was robbed of a decision in their first encounter also in South Africa.
The 22 year old Alolod who is a southpaw like Joyi has an unimpressive record of 12-4-4 with 2 knockouts and is not even ranked in the latest ratings of the Games and Amusements Board.
