The World Boxing Organization (WBO) has just done some trail-blazing outreach program when it visited the children of SOS Children's Village and Asilo De la Milagrosa in Cebu and donated sacks of rice, noodles, milk and other goodies in the spirit of Christmas and New Year.
WBO vice-president for Asia Pacific Leon Panoncillo, who represented the WBO, flew in early morning today and spent New Year away from family just to distribute the goods and bring smile to the kids.
"It feels good to be with the kids at these time of the year and bring joy and smile to their faces. The WBO will continue to be a part of this effort every year as a gesture of thanks for the great year just past," said Panoncillo.

Some 140 children from SOS benefited from the give-aways, as project director Danilo Latonio expressed profuse thanks to the WBO exec.
After the SOS Children's Village, the group then proceeded to the Asilo Milagrosa, where children also got their WBO presents from Panoncillo.
Sr. Rosalinda Belotindos represented Sr. Ma. Loudes Mercado in accepting the give-aways in behalf of the kids.
Aside from the Philippines, the WBO also does outreach programs in Thailand and Puerto Rico, distributing goods to poor but deserving children.
