Filipino Dondon Sultan will face former victim Solomon Igberime on November 25 for the vacant WBF welterweight title at the Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
This was confirmed yesterday by Sultan's manager Sammy Gello-ani in an interview with this writer.
Sultan is coming off a decision loss to Anton Solopov last September 15 in Russia, a loss that cost him his PABA welter crown which was immediately declared vacant as the PABA ruled that reigning champion will be stripped if they lose in a non-title bout.
Earlier, Sultan had knocked out Solopov in a single round to claim the PABA welter title.
Last June, boxing made a successful return in Singapore when the city-state staged a Pan Asian Boxing Association fight in a corporate event billed "Black Tie Fight Night" featuring Daudi Bahari against Bart Abapo.
