Camiguin fighter Dexter 'Dinamita' Delada aims to join Manny Pacquiao and Gabriel Pumar in the list of the country's WBC International title-holders as he vies today for the vacant WBC International 135-lb crown against South African Ali Funeka in East London, SA.
Delada (14-2, 10 KO's), who is a southpaw like Pacquiao, is currently the country's no. 1 lightweight, and a win today catapults him into the elite top 15 of the WBC rankings.
A protege of Cebu's Rex 'Wakee' Salud, Delada will be up against a tough fighter in Funeka, who has lost only once in 27 ring battles.
Funeka holds the South African super-featherweight title, which he has defended five times in racking up a 24-1-2 win-loss-draw record with 20 KO's.
