Filipino prospect Mark Jason Melligen of ALA Gym, now training at the Top Rank and Mayweather gyms in Las Vegas, is ready to go even the full route when he takes on Michel Rosales in a 10-round battle at Top Rank's "Pinoy Power 2."
The card is set to take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The main event pits Fil-AM Nonito Donaire Jr taking on former world champion Rafael Concepcion of Panama for the interim WBA superfly crown while another Filipino, Bernabe Concepcion challenges WBO featherweight king Steven Luevano.
"Melligen is ready to go the full distance. He's just about 5 pounds over the weight contract for the fight," said trainer Edito Villamor, who is working with Tony Martin in Las Vegas to whip Melligen into great shape.
The 26-year-old Rosales, a tall and extremely dangerous opponent from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, has 21 KO's in 24 wins, and has lost only thrice in 27 fights.
Melligen, according to sources, is working doubly hard to win and win big, as he hopes to be included in the mammoth November 14 card featuring superstar Manny Pacquiao taking on boxing icon Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
