Ricky Hatton is picking Oscar De La Hoya to beat Manny Pacquiao on December 6.

'Golden Boy' De La Hoya clashes with new P4P king Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in what they're calling the 'Dream Match'.

And the Hitman is hoping to face the winner next year as he bids to seal his ring legacy.

Despite the Pacman's brilliant skills, Hatton says the leap from lightweight to welterweight will be too much for the Filipino icon.

He told Boxing News: "I think Oscar wins. He'll be too big. When the fight was first mentioned, I just laughed it off. They're like David and Goliath. Oscar dwarfs me, while Manny's fought down at flyweight.

"By the time they get in the ring on the night it could be three weight divisions (in difference).

"We were unsure about Pacquiao before he jumped up to lightweight. Now welter? Against someone who fights at light-middle? I can't get my head round it.

"If there's a curb on what Oscar enters the ring at, that could be a big fctor. But I think Oscar wins, unless he's absolutely 'dead'."

While the Hitman believes De La Hoya will come out victorious, it's not the result he wants.

"No disrespect to Oscar, a friend, but for my own career I'd prefer Pacquiao to win. Then I could fight him at light-welter for all the marbles."
