Mexican contender Picasso returns at featherweight with his new trainer Eddy Reynoso this Saturday

This Saturday, August 29, 2026, Mexican prospect David “Rey” Picasso (31-1, 17 KOs) returns to the ring in a 10-round bout against 29-year-old Colombian Maicol Rincón (16-3-2, 8 KOs) for the WBC Silver featherweight championship at the Sala Urbana in Naucalpan, State of Mexico.

Picasso returns to the ring after his only loss, a unanimous decision defeat to Japan's Naoya Inoue for the WBC, IBF, and WBO super bantamweight world championships on December 27 at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh.

Picasso will have his first fight with trainer Eddy Reynoso on his path to a featherweight championship opportunity.

Rincón has already fought in Mexico, Panamá, and Argentina in a career that began in 2021.
