Fifty percent (50%) of the winning teams or top 8 of the 1st CK Chess Kings Tournament held last August 2, 2026 at Farmer’s Plaza Cubao were from the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE). NM Gerard Ferriol and IIEE Bundesliga current overall leader Mark Del Rosario team up for IIEE Genikos of Engr. Ervin Fernandez and landed 5th place despite the only unbeaten team in the tournament.
IIEE Iloilo team is 4th place with Kevin Arquero and Paulo Cristobal, IIEE Kayo na po bahala team is 7th place with Vince Medina and Jeremy Marticio and 8th place is IIEE Faeldonia with NM Jojo Aquino and Ernie Faeldonia. The son of Ernie, NM Jasper Faeldonia of Benilde Blazer A emerged as champion of the tournament. NM Ferriol emerged as Board 1 champion having won all of his 7 games.
Mark Del Rosario also scored 42 out of 485 points of IIEE Chessmasters in the online chess Bundesliga level 1 tournament on August 7, 2028. Rounding the top 8 for IIEE are Lemuel Manato (38), Chalmer Relatorre (37), Vincent Brimbuela (36), FM Rico Salimbagat (36), John Lee Antonio (36), Michael Metrio (34) and IIEE UAE Joseph Galindo (34).
